Description
The Dovo 918118 (new #33001311) is a ~20mm knot pure badger brush with a light, smooth-skinned solid resin handle finished in creamy white that shares the same basic ~37x55mm dimensions as the 918106, 918117, and 918052 badger models (as well as the newer 918218 faux silvertip offering). Dovo used to make some razors with handles that were more or less matched to this brush’s handle’s hue, if not its texture.
The German version of ‘pure badger’ designation isn’t the same as the English/UK; this is better hair, and in their mind they’re really referring to “all badger” or “clean badger” rather than designating “the least-costly badger available” (which is the de facto way of the Brit manufacturers). In fact, across the Dovo ‘pure badger’ models some have better more costly hair than others!
The base is flat, so it’ll stand on a tabletop.
It comes in a tad heavier than many Brit near-equivalents in size/knot, but still what I’d term a lighter style of brush.
