An exfoliating type hard milled palm-based bath soap with a rose scent that is uncanny in its accuracy.
When I tell you that this puck is a damn rose, believe it. It lacks the complex green spicy/thorny subtletly of Roja Dove Rose, but for a one-note rose trumpet, you will be duly impressed with the amplitude and authenticity of this fragrance. The poplar carton is also produced in France from French trees. Hey, they’re calling it an ‘southern’ rose now; not to brag in olfactory terms, but I did think Bulgarian rose before they said something, so there’s that…I don’t find my nose comparatively adept in detection but I think as I age my ability to listen to its modest input has grown.
Savonitto is hardcore old school French; they don’t do English, they don’t do packaging up your stuff, they make what they love and if you want to import some from the Western Hemisphere, sure, they’d love you to have it…but all the logistics are on you (they’ll tell you, only in French, how big your boxes are). You want the best example yet how truly French these folks are? They used to have a .com with their name, and they said to heck with that, they don’t need it, and let it expire! Now they just have a .fr suffix… now that’s French!
They’re also particularly talented among our French crushes as perfumers, and all their fragrance oils come from Grasse (nearby Provence city famed for fragrance manufacture).
