Rasoir Sabre’s “Campiono” (5CA122ROEST) comes from a 5/8″ 1.2210 (aka 115crv3 or sometimes just ‘mild silver steel’) carbon steel blank produced in Solingen, Germany, entirely ground by the French company using antique equipment; not to worry, we trade with another company which uses a machine that was produced at the immediate end of WWI! Those ancient hollow grinding tools were built to last. Supplied with a leather sheath. It is a German blank of steel, hollow ground and honed and paired with its handle in France, so it enjoys a bit of both worlds with its Solingen-standards of uniformity (German-forged blanks of steel unequivocally are more than a bit flatter throughout than the French-forged stuff, and that does make for a more uniform piece in the end) and its decidedly French styling queues.
This company is absolutely adamant that the razor is dispatched from them already “Shave Ready”, that glorious term of fools without the mind of science to discern the subjective from the objective. As such, we will not further hone this brand unless you instruct us specifically to do so.
