We met Saly Savons’ creator while in Lyon for 2 extra days after traveling to film the Thiers Isssard factory, and they’re a dyed in the wool French cold saponification specialist, which as you may be aware is right up the ole’ TSS alley. Cold saponified soap’s good for you soul 🙂
EcoCert certified! This is a sesame oil and citrus soap suitable for both shaving and washing the face. Quite a scent, this one; a lot going on here. Citral undertones but more than a bit earthy, hints of heather grass. We’ve imported it alone in a poplar container, or together with a synthetic badger brush and a small metal vessel.
Dry your cold saponified soap out as best you can before putting back in to the metal thing for travel, or even the polar container for that matter; cold saponified soaps are especially intolerant of being put away wet.
From their own copy: “The product is very rich in sesame oil which tones your skin, the lime and kaffir lime essential oils provide antiseptic properties and the ho wood adds a flowery scent and healing properties. 2 in 1, the white clay it contains regulates the secretion of sebum ideal for problem skin and small imperfections. Citrus sesame soap is just as great for the shower as it is for shaving, thanks to the white clay that soothes razor burns.”
Contains coconut oil*, shea butter*, sesame oil*, water, castor oil*, glycerin from saponification, white clay, calendula petal, patchouli essential oil*, ho wood, lime*, and kaffir lime*. The “*” means the ingredient’s from organic farming.
76x29mm (WxH) disc in poplar continer, ~120g weight. Even the polar vessel’s made in France!
