Description
This Smith’s Black Arkansas file is approximately 12x13x100mm, and as-shaped it weighs approximately 44.5g. It must be notably denser than the white Hard Ark I shaped the same day, because the most curved facet took about thirty minutes of work!
I’ve shaped this stone to have a 6.5’Øx25’Ø form down one ~13x100mm facet, and a 25’Øx6.5’Ø form down the other ~13x100mm facet. The other two ~12x100mm facets have been flattened.
You use this on straight razors like a file, as I’ve shown in the various recent YouTube videos. Use with plenty of oil.
