Description
I’ve used the Jarrod plate here to shape this basic SKU in to a convex finishing stone, where the 7″ facet of the stone has a 6.5’Ø, and a 25’Ø shape is present across the 2″ width. ~20 mins labor.
No box is included, but it does include the photographed ‘anti’ slurry stone, which has been shaped in an inverse manner.
These “La Grise” (I am making that assumption, but it was not actually vein-designated by the Belgians, only marked as ‘Selected’) hones are simply brilliant in the convex world, the very best in the coticule realm to me for a stone that does “all but the final step”, they release a bit of slurry with plain water and that in conjunction with their surface texture quickly overhauls those awful flat bevels you’ll find all over the place, preparing them so that you can switch to something flat/hard/fine, or another convex hone if you wish, for the apex.
